RAW 6/14/10

RAW opens with Wade Barrett in the ring. Barrett says that the general manager of RAW demanded he apologize for his actions last week. Barrett asks the other NXT Rookies to join him in the ring. Barrett asks each of them to apologize and each of them refuses. Barrett says that the Rookies were treated like animals and that was why they decided to make a statement. Bret Hart comes out. He tells the rookies that 8 on 1 isn’t tough, it’s cowardly. Barrett says that Daniel Bryan had remorse for what he did last week and will not be seen again. Barrett says they should get down to business. He says he has a WWE Contract and a WWE Title opportunity at a Pay-Per-View of his choosing. He says those behind him have demands. Otunga says they all want contracts, they want their own private dressing rooms and they want first class travel accommodations. Barrett says that 2 weeks ago, McMahon informed Hart he would have difficult decisions to make, but this decision should be easy. Hart says it is his job to find new fresh talent, but his answer is no. Barrett says Hart is making a mistake. Hart informs Barrett he made a mistake when he attacked Cena last week. Hart informs Barrett that he is fired. He tells the Rookies they can leave now, or he can call the police and have them physically removed.

The first match is a Fatal 4 Way Match with R-Truth putting his United States Championship on the line against John Morrison, Zack Ryder and The Miz. Miz and Ryder go after Truth and Morrison. Morrison sends Ryder out of the ring. Truth whips Miz off and Morrison nails Miz with a spinning kick. Morrison and Truth lock up. Morrison goes for a hip toss, but Truth counters with a roll up. Morrison sends Ryder out of the ring with a knee and hits Starship Pain. Miz comes into the ring and tosses Morrison out. He covers Truth for the 3 count and the win.

Move of the Match: I’m going to give this to Morrison’s rolling powerbomb on Miz that sent Miz out onto Ryder.

Randy Orton is in the back with Josh Matthews. Josh wants to know the status of Orton’s shoulder. Orton says anything can happen in a Fatal 4 Way Match. He says that any questions regarding his shoulder will be answered later when he faces Sheamus. Josh asks him about the attacks last week. He says part of him has to respect what they did, but a bigger part of him thinks they’re a bunch of punks. He thinks they either deserved to be fired or to have their brains beaten in. He says that considering that Barrett only got fired, they got off lucky.

Mark Feuerstein is in the back. He tells the Bellas that this Thursday, The Big Show will be guest starring on Royal Pains. He also tells them that he thinks they would be great guest stars because they could be the Hank Med Twins. Ted DiBiase comes in and tells Mark that there could be a brand new car waiting in the parking lot if he makes DiBiase co-guest host. Mark says the answer is no. He says he’s a little scared of DiBiase. Big Show comes in and Mark tells DiBiase there’s no chance he’ll let him co-guest host. He gets in DiBiase’s face. DiBiase tells Virgil to handle this and Show speaks up. Show offers DiBiase a tag team match tonight with Mark and Show taking on DiBiase and Virgil. Mark and Show horse around and Mark jumps into Show’s arms. The Bellas leave. Show says that next time Mark should catch him because that would be impressive.

Chris Jericho vs. Evan Bourne is next. Jericho goes after Bourne and hits him with a series of shots. Bourne comes back with the running huracanrana. He hits a drop toe hold and follows up with a low dropkick for a quick 1 count. Bourne goes after Jericho again, but gets caught with a clothesline. Jericho hits a back suplex on Bourne and kicks him. He chokes Bourne on the ropes. Jericho takes Bourne down with a snapmare and locks in a sleeper type move. Bourne fights back, but Jericho overpowers him. Jericho goes for another back suplex, but Bourne fights out and hits a series of kicks ending with a running kick. Bourne goes for a sunset flip, but Jericho rolls through and goes for the Walls of Jericho. Bourne fights out and rolls up Jericho for 2. Jericho hits the Codebreaker on Bourne, but Bourne kicks out at 2! Jericho goes after Bourne. The referee tries to stop him, but he threatens to hit the referee and the referee disqualifies Jericho.

Move of the Match: I’m going to give this to Bourne’s running huracanrana.

After the match, Jericho looks to continue the attack, but Bourne hits him with an enzuigiri from the apron. He goes up top and hits Air Bourne on Jericho.

John Cena comes out to address the attack by the NXT Rookies last week. He says he was given the night off, but he felt he needed to come out and address this. Cena says there is a portion of him that respects what the Rookies did last week, but their logic was flawed. He says they made every member of the WWE Universe their enemies. He says they also destroyed a WWE Ring, which results in every WWE Superstar wanting their heads on a platter. Cena says firing Wade Barrett will not fix the problem. Cena says he will stand in the ring each and every night and demand they come out and finish it. Cena says that if they finish it, he will not press charges. The Rookies have gotten back into the building and make their way to ringside. They go after Cena, but before they can even reach the ring, Jerry Lawler, Evan Bourne, R-Truth, William Regal and Santino Marella all join Cena in the ring. The Rookies hit the ring, but aren’t able to dominate like last week. Mark Henry and Randy Orton hit the ring. They start sending Rookies out of the ring and Edge comes in and nails one of the Rookies with a spear. Sheamus hits the ring with his steel pipe and helps run off the Rookies. The Rookies retreat with the WWE Superstars following closely behind.

In the back, Josh Matthews asks Sheamus why he helped John Cena. Sheamus says if anyone is going to take out John Cena, it will be him.

Eve Torres and Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox and Maryse is next. Eve and Maryse start out. Maryse takes control early, but Eve comes back with a kick and slams Maryse to the mat. Alicia pulls Eve’s hair from the apron and Maryse takes advantage with a kick to Eve. Maryse tags in Alicia and they hit a double legsweep facebuster move. Alicia gets a 1 count on Eve. Maryse is tagged in and she slams Eve face first into the mat. Alicia is tagged back in. She takes out Gail in the corner and while the referee is distracted with Gail, she goes for a big kick on Eve, but Eve moves and she hits Maryse instead. Eve hits a rolling neckbreaker and covers for 3.

Move of the Match: This has to go to the rolling neckbreaker Eve used to pick up the win.

Big Show and Mark Feuerstein vs. Ted DiBiase and Virgil is up next. Big Show and DiBiase start out. Show takes DiBiase down with a headbutt and sits on him in the corner. Big Show hits a big slap on DiBiase. Show hits a second big slap. He sends DiBiase into the opposite corner and looks for another slap, but DiBiase hits him with a thumb to the eye. DiBiase starts to go after Show, but Show picks him up and slams him to the mat. DiBiase tags in Virgil and slides out of the ring. Show pulls Virgil into the ring. Virgil rolls out on the other side, but Mark grabs him and rolls him back into the ring. Show hits a scoop slam and puts his full weight on Virgil’s midsection. Show hits a big slap on Virgil. Show chokeslams Virgil and then points to Mark. Show tags in Mark and Mark performs The Worm on Virgil. He proceeds to cover for the 3 count and the win.

Move of the Match: Show did most of the work, but I’ve got to give this to The Worm, because, while it’s not that powerful, it sure is fun to watch.

After the match, DiBiase pulls out a $100 bill and stuffs it in Virgil’s mouth like his father used to do. DiBiase goes back and takes the $100 bill before he leaves.

Up next is William Regal taking on Santino with Vladimir Kozlov as special guest referee. Santino keeps throwing kicks at Regal, but none of them hit and Regal drops him with a shoulder block. Regal goes after Santino’s arm. He locks in a hammerlock. Santino fights out and rolls Regal up. Kozlov fast counts and Santino celebrates while Regal argues with Kozlov.

Move of the Match: There weren’t too many moves in the match, but Regal’s various moves working on Santino’s arm were all pretty impressive technical work.

After the match, Bret Hart comes out and announces that he wants the entire RAW roster on the stage during tonight’s Main Event to ensure the NXT Rookies won’t interfere.

The Main Event tonight is now John Cena and Randy Orton vs. Edge and Sheamus because Cena wanted to compete. Cena and Sheamus start out in the ring. Sheamus locks in a side headlock, but Cena fights out and locks in one of his own. Cena takes Sheamus down and locks in a chin lock, but Sheamus reaches the ropes. Edge chokes Cena in the corner and Sheamus follows by stomping Cena into the corner. Edge is tagged in and hits a few shots to Cena. Cena counters a suplex with one of his own. Edge tags in Sheamus who hits an elbow drop on Cena. Sheamus hits a big chop to Cena on the apron and Cena falls out to the floor. Edge takes a cheap shot on Cena while Sheamus distracts the referee. Sheamus slams Cena into the barricade. He brings Cena back into the ring and covers for 2. Sheamus hits a clothesline on Cena for another 2 count. Cena fights back against Sheamus, but Sheamus takes him down with a sleeper type move. Cena fights back again and gets to his feet. Cena almost makes it to Orton, but Sheamus wears him down and gets a 2 count. Edge is tagged back in and goes after Cena. Cena sets up for the Attitude Adjustment, but Edge counters with the Edge-O-Matic. Cena avoids the spear and Edge runs into the corner. Sheamus and Orton are both tagged in. Orton hits a pair of clotheslines and a snap scoop slam on Sheamus. He hits his rope hung DDT. Orton looks for the RKO. Edge comes in and he ends up taking the RKO. Sheamus catches Orton with the double axe handle. Sheamus picks up Orton and hits the Irish Curse and covers for 2. Sheamus continues the attack on Orton. Edge is tagged in and he continues the attack on Orton. Orton fights back against both Edge and Sheamus, but Edge takes Orton down and hits a series of shots to his back. Orton starts to fight back with a clothesline on Edge. Orton makes the tag and Cena picks up the pace, but the lights go out. We see in the back that the NXT Rookies are back and are tearing things up. The have Bret Hart and they put him in a limo which whoever is driving it proceeds to crash it into multiple other vehicles. They pull Hart out he’d better give them their contracts and they want an answer by Sunday. The match never officially ended, but RAW went on the air after that, so I’m assuming the match was a no contest.

Move of the Match: There were a number of good moves, but I’m going to give this to the RKO.
