RAW 5/31/10 Notes

So, I’m feeling kind of lazy this week, not sure why. Because of this I won’t be reviewing RAW, but I do have a few comments to make about the show.

First of all, next week is a “Viewer’s Choice” RAW. From the sounds of it, this will be very similar to the old Cyber Sunday concept and it’s pretty cool to do that on RAW.

Second, Daniel Bryan makes his RAW debut with a “One night contract,” in which he pins his former mentor the Miz and thwarts the post match attack, sending Miz over the announce table, into Michael Cole.

Third, the Usos definitely have the potential to help reinvigorate the tag team division. The sons of Solofa Fatu, better known as Rikishi, Jimmy and Jay are the nephews of the late Eddie Fatu (Umaga) and Great nephews of Afa and Sika Anoa’i (The Wild Samoans). The two are accompanied by Tamina, the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer, “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka. These two plus Tamina may have what it takes to bring some great new blood to the WWE tag team division.

My last note on RAW regards the main event. Evan Bourne finally gets the chance to shine like never before. Standing side by side with WWE Champion John Cena, Bourne hit his Shooting Star Press on Sheamus to win the match for his team. I’ve said for a while that if they gave Bourne a chance, he would truly shine, and he definitely proved this on Monday Night RAW.
