NXT 5/25/10

NXT begins with the Pros coming to the stage and the Rookies coming down to the ring. Striker asks the Rookies the question they were asked last night on RAW, “Who should go home and why?”
Wade Barrett: It could be Justin Gabriel because he’s not man enough, David Otunga because he reminds Barrett of the Benny Hill Show when he steps in the ring, but Barrett says it’ll be the “Ginger Ninja” Heath Slater because Barrett cannot stand his hair.
Justin Gabriel: If you asked him the same question 3 times, he’d probably give you 3 answers, but tonight he’s going to say, David Otunga because he says Otunga doesn’t know what he’s doing in the ring.
David Otunga: Not worried about Barrett because he’s just here for the money and that makes him boring. He says Slater irritates “the mess” out of him. But he’s going to say Justin Gabriel because he’s a “Glorified gymnast,” but if you put the mic in his hand, “He’s a deer in the headlights.”
Heath Slater: Wade Barrett because he doesn’t understand “how that mug is still on television with a nose as crooked as the road.”

Justin Gabriel is 3rd and Heath Slater is 4th which means Slater is going home. Striker asks some of the pros their thoughts on why Slater was eliminated.
Christian: Can’t exactly place his finger on it, but there was something some of the pros didn’t like. He thinks Slater still has a good future.
Miz: Slater never showed the “WOW.” You have to bring it full throttle and sometimes Slater was good, but sometimes he was off.
R-Truth: Slater worked hard, but in the WWE it’s survival of the fittest.
Chris Jericho: Jericho says that Wade Barrett will win NXT, so Slater would’ve been eliminated eventually. Jericho tells Barrett he needs to act like the best if he wants to be the best.

He points out that it took Kane to end his undefeated streak. He reminds Jericho that Jericho was beaten by Slater. Slater says the Pros may have pulled the plug, but they should get ready for the encore because he will blow their mind.

RAW opens with Batista (whose arm is in a sling) being escorted to the ring by a pair of referees. Batista sits down in a wheel chair in the ring. Batista says that last night he said 2 words he never thought would come out of his mouth. Batista says that he’s contemplating filing suit against John Cena, The WWE, and every fan in the WWE Universe for supporting Cena’s actions. Batista says that because of his injuries, he’s out for weeks or even months and years. He says he’ll be back and he’ll get a rematch. The ring announcer interrupts saying he has been asked to introduce the new General Manager of Monday Night RAW, Bret “The Hitman” Hart! Hart comes out and announces that Cena’s opponents for Fatal Four Way will be determined tonight. Hart tells Batista if he wants a match, he can qualify for Fatal Four Way, right now. Move of the Match: I liked Sheamus working the technical match with his focus on the arm. I also liked Henry’s power moves, especially his big splash. Still, this has to go to the Pump Kick.

Jon Lovitz is in the back. Maryse comes in and tells Lovitz that she has some photos that would win his superstar search. Lovitz says he’s not just here to plug his new comedy club, but he’s also created a new submission move, “The Fast Freak Fiber Twist Jugular Pinch” and he’s been teaching it to Santino. Bret Hart is in the back with Edge. Edge is telling Hart he deserves a 1 on 1 championship match. Hart points out that Edge fought Orton to a double count out last night. Chris Jericho comes in and says that he beat Edge at Wrestlemania and he demands Hart puts him in the fourth spot. Hart makes Edge vs. Jericho vs. Cena tonight. If one of them wins, he qualifies for the Fatal Four Way, but if Cena wins, they’re both out. Josh Matthews is in the back with John Cena. Cena says that after last night, he was exhausted. He says when he heard Batista say “I Quit,” he felt good because he had closure. Cena says the toughest part of holding onto the championship is keeping it. Cena says you always have your back against the wall and every champion has the choice to run or fight. DiBiase says if he can’t buy it, he’ll beat up Joe and take it. Santino comes out. Santino says he has mastered Lovitz’s submission hold and if DiBiase doesn’t leave the “Cyclops Boy” alone, he will apply it to Virgil. Lovitz tells Santino if you don’t know how to do it perfectly, it’s ineffective. Santino does it to Virgil and he drops. He goes to do it on DiBiase but it doesn’t work. The referees escort Orton to the back, while other referees prevent Edge from following him.

The next match is Jack Swagger vs. Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship.
My Prediction: Swagger retains. More likely he gets the win through count out or DQ, but I can’t rule out a pinfall or submission.

Swagger looks for a takedown early, but Show slams him to the mat. Swagger goes for another takedown, but Show slams Swagger’s head into his knee. Swagger goes behind Show, but Show reverses and drops Swagger to the mat. Show covers for a quick 1 count and Swagger rolls to the outside. Show taunts Swagger with pushups and drops him when he comes back into the ring. Show sets up Swagger in the corner and hits the big slap. Show hits a second big slap and Swagger goes down. Show steps across Swagger’s chest and then across Swagger’s lower back. Show chokes Swagger on the ropes. He sets up for the chokeslam, but Swagger escapes and slides out of the ring. Show tries to pull Swagger into the ring and Swagger hangs him up on the ropes. Swagger hits a shoulder to Show’s leg and follows up with a shoulder block to a kneeling Show for a 1 count. Swagger hits the slingshot corner splash twice, but Show throws Swagger off through the ropes after a 2 count. Swagger comes back in and locks in a front facelock, but Show picks him up and slams him to the mat. Show hits a series of strikes. He hits the butt bump in the corner and follows up with the running shoulder block. Show signals for the chokeslam and catches Swagger by the throat. Swagger kicks Show in the leg and Show throws him out of the ring. Swagger grabs the belt on the outside and hits Show with it in the ring for the DQ.

Move of the Match: This has to go to either to Show’s amateur style takedown that really got into Swagger’s head or to one of the shoulder blocks Swagger used to try to take down Show.

4 for 6

After the match, Swagger hits Show with the championship again. He goes out of the ring and gets a chair. Swagger hits Show with the chair, but Show starts to get up again. Swagger hits him again and Show still gets up. Swagger goes after Show again, but Show catches him by the throat and hits the chokeslam. Show hits Swagger with the chair and chokeslams him onto it. Show picks up Swagger and hits him with the knock out punch.

Batista is in the back with Josh Matthews. Josh asks Batista about the match tonight. Batista says he will make Cena scream “I Quit.”

Maryse challenging Eve for the Diva’s Championship is next.
My Prediction: Eve picks up the win.

The divas stare down and Maryse kicks Eve in the leg. Maryse sends Eve into the ring post. Maryse hits a series of kicks to Eve and covers for a 1 count. Maryse hits a legsweep facebuster and goes to her camel clutch. Maryse slams Eve to the mat and ties her up in the ropes, pulling back on her hair. Maryse sends Eve out of the ring with a knee. Eve avoids a kick from Maryse and Maryse’s foot hits the ring post. Eve brings Maryse back into the ring. Maryse goes for a clothesline, but Eve dodges and hits a clothesline of her own. Eve hits a pair of dropkicks. Maryse slaps Eve, but Eve hits her with a knee and slams her to the mat. Eve hits a standing moonsault on Maryse for a 2 count. Eve hits a sunset flip for another 2 count, but Maryse kicks Eve in the face. Maryse rolls up Eve for a 2 count. The two trade blows and the referee pulls Eve off Maryse when Maryse goes to the ropes. Maryse goes after Eve, but Eve hits a complete shot on Maryse for a 2 count. Eve hits a kick to Maryse and goes for her flipping senton, but Maryse gets her knees up. Maryse goes for the French Kiss, but Eve fights back and hits a hip drop facebuster on Maryse. Eve rolls over into a modified cover for the 3 count and the win.

Move of the Match: The standing moonsault was good, but I have to give this to the unique facebuster that she rolled over into the cover.

5 for 7

John Cena taking on Batista in an I Quit match is next.
My Prediction: Cena picks up the win in this match and not only beats Batista, but sends him packing.

Batista takes the microphone from the referee and says that he made Cena say “I Quit” last week and he’s going to give him one chance to say it before he puts Cena in “a world of pain.” Cena takes the microphone. He says, “I don’t think so” and hits Batista with the mic. Cena grabs a chair and tries to hit Batista, but Batista moves and he hits the ring post instead. Cena follows Batista into the ring and Batista hits him with a clothesline. Batista hits Cena with a shoulder in the corner and sends him hard into the other corner. Batista hits a snapmare followed by a low boot to Cena. The referee asks Cena if he wants to quit and Cena says no. Batista goes after Cena again and after a few shots, hangs him up on the middle rope. Cena starts to fight back, but Batista catches him with a back elbow. Batista sends Cena into the ring post and the referee asks him again, but Cena still won’t quit. Batista knocks Cena off the apron and slams him into the barrier. Batista continues the attack in the ring and hits a suplex. Cena avoids and attack in the corner and hits the running shoulder blocks. Cena drops Batista with the spin out powerbomb and hits 5 Knuckle Shuffle. Cena goes for the Attitude Adjustment, but Batista grabs hold of the ropes and fights out. Cena charges at Batista, but Batista uses the referee as a shield. Batista nails Cena with a kick to the knee and follows up with the spear. Batista locks in his submission hold, but Cena says no when asked if he wants to quit. The referee asks again after Batista increases pressure, but Cena still says no. Cena fights back and slams Batista to the mat, and then locks in the STF. Batista also refuses to quit trying to use the ropes to pull himself free from the hold. Batista passes out, but the match can’t end if Batista can’t answer. Cena goes out and grabs a bottle of water and pours it on Batista’s head. The referee asks Batista if he want to quit, but Batista shouts “No!” Cena charges at Batista but gets caught with a spinebuster. Batista hits the Batista Bomb. The referee asks him and Cena hesitates, but still says no. Batista goes out to ringside and tears up the Spanish Announce Table. He then tears up the main announce table as well. Batista sets up for the Batista Bomb on the announce table. Cena tries to counter to the Attitude Adjustment, but Batista fights back and puts Cena through the Spanish Announce Table with a powerslam. Cena is busted open and the trainers treat him while the referee asks him if he wants to quit and he says no again. Batista mocks Cena as the trainer finishes up and sends Cena over the barricade. Batista takes Cena up into the upper part of the arena and slams him into a cement wall. Batista gets the microphone and tells Cena to say it or he’s going over. Cena says no and Batista looks to send him over the railing with the Batista Bomb. Cena fights back and sends Batista over into security. The referee asks Batista but he won’t quit either. Batista heads back down toward the ringside area with Cena in hot pursuit. Cena catches up and hits a series of shots to Batista. Cena and Batista fight to the ramp. Batista continues the attack on Batista, but Batista gets a chair and hits Cena with it. He hits Cena again and targets Cena’s knee. Batista hits Cena repeatedly in the lower back and tells the referee to ask him. The ref asks and Cena still says no. Batista gets into the car on the stage and tries to back it into Cena, but Cena moved before he could do so. Cena gets up and pulls Batista out of the car. Cena slams Batista’s head into the car and hits the Attitude Adjustment onto the hood of the car. Batista says he won’t quit. Cena takes the mic and says, “I was really hoping you would say that.” Cena climbs onto the top of the car and picks up Batista again. Batista says, “I Quit!” Cena sends Batista through the floor with the Attitude Adjustment anyway.

Move of the Match: I think I’ll give this to the Attitude Adjustment onto the hood of the car.

6 for 8

Cena makes his way back to the ring. Cena celebrates and then makes his way up the ramp. Sheamus jumps Cena with the Pump Kick on the stage and stands over him to end the show.

Over the Limit Predictions

Time to predict the Over the Limit Pay-per-view.

R-Truth vs. Ted DiBiase
What I want to happen: R-Truth beats DiBiase (maybe even convincing Virgil to turn on DiBiase.)
My Prediction: R-Truth picks up a hard fought win.

Maryse vs. Eve Torres (Divas Title)
What I want to happen: I’d like to see Eve retain to continue her run as Divas Champions.
My Prediction: Eve picks up the win.

Chris Jericho & The Miz vs. The Hart Dynasty (WWE Unified Tag Team Championship)
What I want to happen: The Hart Dynasty continues the embarrassment of The Miz by making him tap out to the Sharpshooter.
My Prediction: The Hart Dynasty picks up the win.

Kofi Kingston vs. Drew McIntyre (Intercontinental Championship)
What I want to happen: Kofi beats McIntyre to take the title.
My Prediction: McIntyre somehow retains the title. Don’t rule out a count out or DQ, but most likely picks up the win with the Future Shock DDT.

Edge vs. Randy Orton
What I want to happen: Orton RKOs Edge and gives him exactly what he deserves.
My Prediction: Orton picks up the victory.

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk (SES Pledge vs. Hair)
What I want to happen: Mysterio wins and shaves Punk bald.
My Prediction: Mysterio wins. Expect interference from Gallows and the masked member of the SES, but in the end, Mysterio picks up the win and does his best to shave Punk’s head.

Big Show vs. Jack Swagger (World Heavyweight Championship)
What I want to happen: Show knocks out Swagger and walks out the Champ.
My Prediction: Swagger retains. More likely he gets the win through count out or DQ, but I can’t rule out a pinfall or submission.

Batista vs. John Cena (I Quit Match for the WWE Championship)
What I want to happen: John Cena beats Batista in this match.
My Prediction: Cena picks up the win in this match and not only beats Batista, but sends him packing.

SmackDown 5/21/10

SmackDown opens with CM Punk and the SES in the ring along with 3 others sitting in chairs. Gallows says there was a time when he was like those 3, “weak minded, pathetic and riddled with addiction.” Gallows says that Punk can save everyone in the ring and in the WWE Universe and can make the impossible possible. Serena says everyone needs to show Punk the respect that he deserves. Punk leads the 3 in the ring in the SES Pledge. Punk, Gallows and Serena begin to shave the 3 and Rey Mysterio comes out. Mysterio says this is too much. He shows a picture of Punk without hair. Back from break, they show that after Mysterio came out, Punk and Gallows beat down the 3 guys in the ring.

The opening match is Team LayCool taking on Kelly Kelly and Tiffany. Kelly and Layla start out. Layla gets a unique cover on Kelly for 1. Layla gets an armlock, but Kelly goes up in the corner and hits an armdrag out of the corner. Kelly sends Layla to the apron and kicks her off. She kicks McCool off the apron too, and flies of the turnbuckles onto McCool. Layla tries to back away, but gets caught with a flying clothesline from Tiffany. Kelly brings Layla back in and tags in Tiffany. Tiffany comes off the top with a sunset flip, but only gets a 1 count. Tiffany hits a front dropkick and sets up Layla in the corner. Monkey Flip out of the corner, but Layla follows up with a knee and tags in McCool. Tiffany throws McCool across the ring and knocks Layla off the apron. She goes for a standing Monkey Flip on McCool, but McCool counters into the Faith Breaker and covers to win the match.

Move of the Match: There were a handful of nice moves. I liked the Faith Breaker and the Corner Armdrag, but I’m going to give this to Kelly’s dive onto McCool on the outside because you don’t see moves like that very often in women’s matches in WWE.

Big Show is on the screen. He talks about Swagger’s accomplishments. He then says, “Did you know, 3 weeks ago, I knocked Jack Swagger out?” They show the video and then Show says that is just one of his many accomplishments.

JTG is out. JTG is facing Caylen Croft. JTG gets control with a hammerlock. Croft fights out with a back elbow and shoots JTG off. He goes to dodge JTG, but JTG stops in his tracks and kicks Croft in the head. JTG follows with a short arm clothesline and a seated flipping neckbreaker. JTG goes after Croft in the corner, but Croft backs into the ropes. Croft cheap shots JTG and hits a series of shots. Croft drops JTG with a neckbreaker for a 1 count. He hits a series of punches. Modified front facelock from Croft, but JTG starts to fight out, so Croft releases and beats down JTG. JTG fights back again. Croft tries to telegraph the back body drop, but JTG catches him with an uppercut. JTG hits the flipping shoulder block, a clothesline and a dropkick. Croft is in the corner and JTG hits the Mug Shot. Barreta gets up on the apron and distracts JTG, but JTG counters and attack from Croft with a modified Shout Out and covers for the 3 count.

Move of the Match: This has to go to the Shout Out because it came out of nowhere and is so effective.

Vicki Guerrero is in the back. Christian comes in and Vickie asks to be the guest on Christian’s Peep Show. Christian says he’d like to have her on, but he wants people to watch the show. Christian names some of the people on his list. Bret Hart, The Mountie, The Brooklyn Brawler, Jared the Subway Guy, and “Lester, the guy who loves chicken.” Vickie asks who Lester is and Christian says he doesn’t know. Vickie wants to know who number 1 is. Christian says he can’t tell her, all he can tell her is that he and his guest tonight have never really seen eye to eye.

Curt Hawkins and Vance Archer are out for a match with Brent Roberts and Jeremy Barner. Hawkins starts out with one of the others (not sure which is which). He slaps him and picks him up. Hawkins hits a vicious scoop slam and tosses the guy into his corner. Archer tags in and Hawkins clips the guy’s leg and Archer follows up with a big kick to the head. Archer hits his spinning facebuster throw. The guy tags in his partner who takes a few shots at Archer, but runs into a neck hanging throw. Archer hits the scoop slam inverted DDT and Hawkins drops the elbow for their team to get the 3 count.

Move of the Match: There were only a handful of moves, but the best had to be the Scoop Slam Inverted DDT/Elbow Drop combo.

After the match, Hawkins takes the mic and says there are 22 days left on their contract and they will make an impact whether the WWE Universe likes it or not.

Big Show is up again and talks about more of Swagger’s accomplishment. He says, “Did you know to weeks ago I chokeslammed Jack Swagger through an announce table?” That is one of his many accomplishments.

Jack Swagger vs. Kofi Kingston. Swagger gets the mic and says Show disrespected him last week. He says this Sunday he will disrespect Show. Swagger backs Kofi into the corner and the referee makes him back up. Kofi hits a series of kicks and dropkicks Swagger out of the ring. Swagger tries to climb back in, but Kofi dropkicks him again. Swagger slides back in and nails Kofi with a series of shots. Kofi fights back and catches Swagger with a springboard forearm shot. He clotheslines Swagger out of the ring. Back from break and Kofi is still in control with an armlock on Swagger. Swagger fights back, but when he charges after Kofi, Kofi pulls down on the ropes sending him to the outside. Kofi tries to spring onto Swagger, but Swagger catches Kofi. Swagger puts Kofi on his shoulders and throws Kofi into the ring post. Swagger brings Kofi back into the ring and continues the attack. Swagger stomps Kofi in the corner. Kofi starts to fight back, but Swagger again overpowers him. Swagger hits a big clothesline in the corner and goes for the slingshot corner splash, but Kofi moves. Kofi goes for a springboard crossbody, but Swagger sees it coming and answers with a big kick. Swagger covers for 2 and goes to the midsection with a rear hold. Swagger continues the attack and shoots Kofi off. Kofi comes back with a sunset flip for a 2 count, but Swagger gets up and drops him with a belly to belly slam. Swagger picks up Kofi and hangs him up on the middle rope. He chokes Kofi on the ropes and then hits shoulder blocks in the corner. Swagger sets Kofi up on the top rope. Kofi starts to fight back and hits a tornado DDT on Swagger. Kofi hits Swagger with a series of chops. He follows up with a dropkick and the series of punches in the corner. Kofi gets Swagger with the SOS for a 2 count. Swagger avoids Trouble in Paradise, but gets caught with a Russian Legsweep. Kofi goes for the Boom Drop, but Swagger fights back. Swagger hits Kofi with a big boot and earns a 2 count. Big Show comes out to ringside saying he has something to tell Swagger, and Swagger tries to throw Kofi out of the ring, but Kofi lands on the apron. Kofi hits Swagger with a springboard crossbody for a 3 count.

Move of the Match: There were a number of good moves, but I’m going to give this to the SOS.

After the match, Show tells Swagger that what he wanted to tell him is “Kofi just beat you!”

Christian is out for the Peep Show. He introduces his guest, Hornswoggle! Hornswoggle struts around the ring and gives a DX chop. He gives the mic back to Christian and climbs up into the seat. Christian talks about what they have in common. They’re both on SmackDown, they both want to make a big impression and if he know’s Hornswoggle, he’s here to get himself into a little bit of trouble. Christian teaches Hornswoggle to speak Canadian. First is “eh,” then “hoser,” next is “hockey,” and then the most important word in the Canadian language, “beer.” Vickie Guerrero comes out with Chavo. She tells Christian she’s shutting down the Peep Show. He says there was another word he was going to teach Hornswoggle before she interrupted, “Obesity.” He says he has another word, “Moose.” Hornswoggle says “Moose” and points at Vickie. Chavo says they can’t talk to Vickie that way and Vickie says if Christian won’t leave voluntarily, she has someone who will help him. Hornswoggle hides in the basket that’s acting as a table while Chavo goes to get into the ring. Just as Chavo is about to enter the ring, Dolph Ziggler comes in and attacks Christian from behind. Ziggler hits the Zig Zag and Chavo climbs up to and hits a Frog Splash on Christian.

Rey Mysterio and MVP taking on the SES (CM Punk and Luke Gallows) is next. MVP and Gallows start out. MVP takes control, but Gallows shoots him off and drops him with a shoulder block. Gallows hits a series of shots and shoots him off again. MVP avoids Gallows and comes back with a flying forearm shot and tags in Mysterio. MVP picks Mysterio up with a military press and drops him onto Gallows. Mysterio follows up with a leg drop and covers for 1. Gallows fights back with a knee, but gets caught with a kick and Mysterio tags in MVP. They shoot him off and Mysterio ducks so MVP can hits Gallows with a big boot. MVP gets a 2 count and continues the attack. Serena distracts MVP allowing Gallows to pull him off the ropes and slams him to the mat. Back from break, Punk has MVP in a modified bow and arrow hold. Punk hits MVP with a series of elbows and covers, but only gets a 1 count. Punk tags in Gallows and they both hit MVP with a series of shots. Gallows chokes MVP on the ropes and the referee backs him up. MVP fights back and tries to tag in Mysterio, but Gallows stops him. Gallows tags in Punk and Punk tries to go for the high knee in the corner, but MVP pushes him off. MVP tries to make the tag, but Punk pulls him back and tags in Gallows. Gallows drops MVP with a scoop slam and hits a running splash for a 2 count. Punk is tagged back in and he hits a series of shots to MVP. Punk tags Gallows back in and they double team him with punches. Gallows goes to a rear hold applying pressure to the ribs and midsection. MVP fights back and hits a knee facebuster to Gallows. MVP makes the tag and Mysterio comes in with a springboard senton on Gallows. He follows up with a running crossbody for a 2 count. Mysterio takes a shot and Punk and hits the wheelbarrow bulldog on Gallows. Mysterio covers, but only gets a 2 count. Gallows tries to fight back, but Mysterio clips his leg and sets him up for the 619. Punk tags in and as Mysterio comes running Punk drops him with a springboard clothesline and covers for 2. Mysterio goes for the GTS, but Mysterio counters into a rollup. Gallows breaks it up and MVP comes after him. MVP clotheslines Gallows out of the ring. Mysterio sets Punk up for the 619, but the masked SES member jumps up on the apron. Mysterio sends him into the ring post and Punk fights back, but Mysterio catches him with a huracanrana and holds it for the 3 count.

Move of the Match: Honestly, I’ve got to give this to Punk’s springboard clothesline, because that thing was vicious.

After the match, Mysterio kicks Punk out of the ring and celebrates with MVP.

In the back, Josh asks Drew McIntyre if he thinks he deserved to get the title back. McIntyre says Hardy deserved what he got when McIntyre gave him a beating he’ll never forget and Teddy Long got what he deserved when his authority was overruled by McMahon. McIntyre says he deserves to be the chosen one. Kofi comes in and says that no anointment from the boss will get McIntyre out of Trouble in Paradise.

Big Show taking on Drew McIntyre is tonight’s main event. Show quickly overpowers McIntyre at the start of the match. He gets a big slap and McIntyre rolls out of the ring. McIntyre tries to leave, but Show grabs him and brings him back into the ring. Show picks up McIntyre and drops him with a scoop slam. Show chokes McIntyre on the ropes and follows up with another big slap. Show hits a third big slap and steps on McIntyre. Show goes for a fourth slap, but McIntyre nails him with a thumb to the eye. Show goes to cover, but Swagger hits the ring and attacks Show making this a DQ win for Show.

Move of the Match: This has to go to the Chokeslam that would've earned the win had Swagger not caused the DQ win.

Swagger catches Show with a big boot and hits 2 Slingshot Corner Splashes on Show. He follows up by stomping on Show’s hand. Swagger stomps on the hand again and gets a chair from ringside. Swagger comes back into the ring, but Show punches the chair out of his hand. Show picks up the chair and Swagger climbs out of the ring. SmackDown ends with Show standing in the ring while Swagger backs up the ramp.

EY follows up with an elbow drop and covers for 2. EY pulls Moore to his feet and hits a scoop slam. EY hits a diving elbow, but only gets a 1 count. EY chokes Moore on the ropes and the referee backs Moore up. The referee prevents Nash from hitting Moore with the title belt, but that allows EY to hang Moore up on the ropes. EY takes Moore down with a snapmare and gets him in an armlock. Moore fights back and hits the Springboard into the wheelbarrow bulldog. Moore follows up with a clothesline, a dropkick and a spinning kick. Moore fights out of the corner with a back elbow and hits the Halo on EY for a 2 count. EY hits Moore with the piledriver for the 3 count.

Move of the Match: There were a lot of great moves and the piledriver is sick, but I’m going to give this to the springboard into a wheelbarrow bulldog.

After the match, Neal goes to check on Moore, and Ray comes running back down to the ring and attacks Neal from behind. He nails Neal with a kick to the back of the head. Devon tries to calm Ray and Ray tells Devon to stay off of him. Brother Ray and Brother Devon argue.

8 Man X-Division Battle Royal. Winner becomes the new #10 in the contender’s list. This is supposed to be an 8 man, but only 7 are in the ring. A lot of fast paced action in this match. Amazing Red nails Homicide with an arm drag and dropkicks him into the ropes, but he doesn’t go out. Red goes for the Red Eye on Kazarian, but Kaz holds onto the ropes and slams Red to the match. Kaz makes the first elimination by throwing Red over the ropes. Generation Me double teams Sabin, but they send him through the middle rope, so he is not eliminated. Shelley gets caught with an enzuigiri from Jeremy, but recovers and throws Max out to the apron. Meanwhile, Kaz is fighting Homicide on the other apron. Max knocks Shelley down, but Sabin leaps off Shelley’s back and dropkicks Max off the apron, eliminating him. Sabin and Shelley double team Jeremy, but he sends Shelley to the apron and catches him with a springboard dropkick to eliminate him. Sabin clotheslines Jeremy over the top and eliminates him. Sabin then skins the cat back into the ring. Flair comes out to ringside at this point, presumably to watch the match. Kaz goes after Sabin. Sabin gets sent to the apron and as he tries to springboard back in, Kaz catches him with a kick and eliminates him. Homicide attacks Kaz from behind. Kendrick suddenly slides into the ring and sends Homicide out over the top rope. Kaz and Kendrick fight and Kaz drops Kendrick with a back body drop. Kendrick tosses Kaz over the top, but Kaz lands on the apron. Kaz comes back in and hits a springboard back elbow. Kaz tosses Kendrick out of the ring to win the battle royal.

Move of the Match: Obviously as an X-Division battle royal, there were a lot of great high speed impact moves, but this has to go either to Sabin using Shelley to hit the dropkick on Max, or Jeremy’s springboard dropkick to Shelley.

Hardy hits a back elbow. He hits the inverted atomic drop, follows up with the double leg leg drop and hits a low dropkick for a 2 count. Hardy goes for Whisper in the Wind, but Sting moves. Sting hits both Hardy and Anderson with the bat and stands in the ring as TNA ends.
