IMPACT 5/27/10

Impact opens with Jeff Hardy coming out to the ring. Hardy says he wants to know what’s going on with Mr. Anderson and calls Anderson out to the ring. Anderson says that maybe he did it to confuse Hardy because he’s an @$$hole. Anderson encourages Jeff to embrace his inner @$$holeness. Anderson is interrupted as AJ comes out accompanied by Flair, Beer Money and Wolfe. AJ says he arrived to find out he has a match tonight. He says his opponent doesn’t deserve to be in the same ring as AJ Styles and that his opponent requested the match against him. Hardy says he didn’t request anything and AJ says he wasn’t talking to Hardy, he was talking to Anderson. Anderson cuts AJ off and says, “Allow me to tell you who I am.” Anderson calls for the mic from above and says, “Mr. Anderson! Wait for it… ANDERSON!!!!”

They replay the problems between Brother Ray and Jesse Neal.

Young rakes Neal’s arms and hits a series of shots in the corner. He hits a scoop slam and backs into the corner, but Brother Ray tags himself in. Ray goes for an elbow, but Neal moves. Neal hits a series of shots, but gets caught with a clothesline from Ray. Ray picks up Neal by his Mohawk and hits another punch. He follows up with more blows and kicks Neal in the head. Ray hits a series of shots to Neal in the corner. He hits a big slap and gets a chair from ringside. Devon takes the chari from Ray and Neal hits Ray with the spear. Neal gets the 3 count and the win.

Move of the Match: The Spear is somewhat worth mentioning, but I really think this should go to Moore hip tossing Neal onto Young because it was a great and unique tag team maneuver.

After the match, Ray gets the microphone and challenges Neal to a Teacher vs. Student match at Slammiversary. Neal accepts the match while Devon and Ray argue.

Kazarian is in the back and he says he’s more confident right now than in his entire career because of Ric Flair. AJ comes in and says he needs to talk to Flair. Flair says AJ will be fine tonight and continues talking to Kazarian.

He hits a forearm shot and a clothesline, and follows up with a moonsault takedown for a 2 count. Kaz catches Lethal with a jawbreaker, but Lethal comes back with an enzuigiri. Lethal teases Flair and locks in the Figure Four on Kaz. Flair encourages Kaz to either fight to the ropes or roll over. Kaz finally reaches the ropes. Lethal and Flair have an encounter and Kaz rolls up Lethal and uses the tights to get the 3 count.

Move of the Match: I’m giving this to the Figure Four because it was used as a shot at Flair.

After the match, Flair goes after Lethal and hits him with a big chop. Flair hits a series of chops to Lethal. Lethal fights back and hits some chops to Flair. Lethal shoots Flair off and hits a back body drop. He clotheslines Flair out of the ring. Styles comes out and attacks Lethal. Terry catches Jordan and drops him with the Freakbuster. Abyss rolls back to the outside where he picks up Chelsea and carries her to the back.

Lacey gets Taylor in the Claw and then slams her to the mat and covers for the 3 count.

Move of the Match: Although Lacey using the Von Erich Claw is pretty cool; I’m going to give this to the Splash/Handspring Senton form Sarita and Taylor.

Puppet goes out to celebrate with the Beautiful People. He slaps Velvet on the butt. Velvet slaps him and Madison DDTs him. They both stomp on Puppet. Velvet and Madison leave, but Lacey helps Puppet up. Puppet kisses Lacey and Lacey kisses him back.

Move of the Match: I’m going to give this to Whisper in the Wind (even though it hit the ref instead of his opponent.)

Matt Morgan is in the ring. He complains about being jumped by Joe and losing the tag titles to Hall and Nash. He also complains about having to find another partner for Slammiversary. Morgan calls Angle out to the ring and offers him the role as Morgan’s new partner. Angle points out that the last time he and Morgan were in the ring, he pinned Morgan. Morgan and Angle start to fight, and Samoa Joe’s music hits. Morgan runs from the ring. Joe and Angle come face to face in the ring and have a stare down. Angle gives Joe a nod and leaves the ring.
